Developed by ZandZ for its
corporate customers, MettaSite is a powerful custom
component (DLL) that is marketed and sold by Organized
Data Corporation. This component allows you to
automatically generate web site pages using metadata
easily maintained by the business owner.
Your database contains all of the
information regarding links, pictures and even textual
content in your site. When updates are required to
your site, you simply update your database table.
The beauty of this approach is that once the site is set
up, you don't have to be a programmer (or even a web
designer tool user) to keep the site content
current. If you can enter information into a
database, you can update your site.
Provided with the basic
functionality is a very slick hierarchical site
menu navigation utility. Every part of
MettaSite is customizable, extensible and
scalable. Currently MettaSite is only available on
Windows servers. Win2K, XPPro, and Win2003.
MettaSite also has supportive ASP pages that are all
customizable and contain most of what you would want to
do on your site.
MettaSite is not a replacement
for fancy WYSIWYG web site development tools. It
is a tool that will facilitate a web site fast and
flexible that is very easy to maintain, and incorporate
real-time data and photo access.
It does not require .NET
framework. Can use various databases.
